Am I really that thrifty?? I went to Target today to buy a butter tray and was practically offended by their price of $5.99. I decided to use something else to store my butter.
Then I went to Bed, Bath & Beyond for some other shopping and decided to check out their butter dish prices. $8.99! What is going on? How much does it cost to make a butter dish? I'm not talking about a fancy shmancy butter dish. I just want a rectangular slab and a box top to block out dust.
Lo and behold, I found a decent price on Amazon for the actual one I wanted:
It comes with a fee of $1.99 for shipping, but I'm happy to spend that to save another trip to the store. This one is Rubbermaid and durable, whereas the others were glass. Some may want theirs to be glass, but I prefer the Rubbermaid model.
